creative funNov 10, 2009
By felicity my kids love putting this together and creating a center ring for the circus. I'd love to buy all the playmobil circus stuff but it's so pricy. You know that it will last though.
A Fun ToyOct 02, 2011
I bought this toy with my own money. I think it is a great set. It comes with a white tiger, a lion and a leopard. It also comes with a balance beam. There are little stages and a flaming hoop. The cage looks little but it's as big as a basketball! It's worth the money. It's a great set!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this set as an add on for the Playmobil circus ring and I am glad I did so since the toy is very well made and sturdy. My eight year old little girl loves this toy and has been getting a lot of joy out of it, definitely worth the money.

Rather Dull Set; Falls Apart EasilyFeb 01, 2010
By goonius Of all the Playmobil sets we own, this one is probably my least favorite. My daughter received it for her birthday this year, but it is certainly not a set I would have chosen.
The set consists of a round cage, decorated at intervals with tribal masks and adorned with torches, which are integral to, but not very effective at holding the structure together. From the ring-shaped cage comes another barred length of passageway. The floor of the ring is a piece of red cardboard. The ring itself falls apart when being transported from one location to another, which necessitates a reconstruction of its various parts if you want to say, move it from a shelf to the floor. And because my daughter is 4, I am the one who gets to put the pieces back together. I find that less-than-exciting.
The set also comes with three silver-dollar sized stands that you can adorn with colorful lithos and a balancing beam/catwalk, which you can also adorn with matching lithos, a ring of fire for the animals to jump through, three animals; a white tiger, a lion, and a leopard. There is a trainer with a red whip, which, while it may be accurate, offends me.
We own a lot of Playmobil sets: knights, pirates, fairies, royalty, mermaids, veterinarians, etc. But it just isn't my idea of fun to emulate whipping animals into submission while making them jump through hoops of fire. The animals in the set look appropriately outraged at the injustice, so while we ditched the whip and have this set up as more of a zoo than an animal torture chamber, they look nonetheless peeved about the whole affair and the cage refuses to stay in one piece.
Disagree, if you will with my assessment of the circus idea in general, but there is no doubt that this set will buy little more than annoyance in terms of the main structure falling apart at the drop of a hat.
I wouldn't recommend it.
