Our 4 year old son loves trains, and his favorite show is the History Channel's Extreme Trains. He loves an episode with the "Barstow Repair Shop", so he was absolutely thrilled to get his own repair shed! This was the gift on Christmas morning that got the hugest grin of excitement! It seems to be very well made and I can see it lasting a long time.
The down side is that you cannot hear the engine sounds unless you buy the Brio Track Reader Engine, which is not available by itself, but only with a set and not cheaply. Our son doesn't realize it should make sounds and so isn't disappointed. But I know he would have loved to hear the engine noises. Would love if they would have packaged the engine with this shed, or at least sold it separately.

Neat concept. Suppose to make noises like those of a repair shop. Only makes the sounds with 2 Brio engines. My daughter still has fun with it, stopping her trains in and pretending that she is fixing them herself. Tight fit with the Thomas wooden tracks, but Thomas engines can drive on the tracks just fine. Since it only makes the noises with 2 Brio engines, unless you have them, you may want to look at something different.
