at first my 2/4y olds squealed with joy - but the fun doesn't last long and the cars engine doesn't last long as well (for whatever reason - and I really try to stay away from carpet with this ...)
sooo
:-(
I remembered this toy from my childhood - but it seems I forgot that it wasn't THAT much fun!
Perfect race track for my young son.Jan 12, 2011
By jmc My son is 2 1/2 and loves cars, so we wanted to get him a race track for Christmas. However most are very expensive and need an older kid to operate. This one we found for under $25 and since all you have to do is place the car on the track and push it back and forth until it makes a clicking sound and let it go, my son is almost ready to do it himself. He loves watching it fly around the track (and the cat loves it too). However, this may not be the best track for older kids, because the car only gets enough power built up to go around once, then you have to take the car and start over. The track is easy to put together (once you figure out where all of the pieces go). At first, I thought the track seemed flimsy and cheap but since it is flexible and light, it won't break easily and is easy for my son to move from room to room, so now I think its better than having a heavy more "sturdy" track and its holding up well.
Car broke after ONE run!Jan 08, 2011
By Mom/Esq This track was challenging to put together the first time due to all the loops etc, but all went together after I figured it out. So I revved up the car to demonstrate it for my 4-year-old, it went around once. The next time we tried the car and it would no longer work. Major disappointment for the kid and headache for me now that I will have to attempt to return/exchange.
Darda rocks!Oct 23, 2010
By juliejail I had a darda track when I was a kid and I loved it! We used to send our normal toy cars down the stairs on the track and built hundreds of different tracks. Now I bought it for my nephew in the US and he obviously loves it too, 25 years later.

not that much funFeb 08, 2010

This is well built, I suppose, but really not that much fun considering it's hard to put together and once it's together the car only goes around once, if that, rather than continuously looping around. And that's if you can get it around once. It's a bit too challenging, and really you get bored after seeing the car sputter out before it even makes it around. I was disappointed considering the price and the other reviews.
