The markers and workbooks have been so much fun for my pre-school grandson. He loves
to show how smart he is....keeps him entertained...The Dinosaur workbook, Dot-to-Dot and the
sponge markers are perfect for him. Great for 4 yr olds and kindergarten age children.

This is a great coloring book to use with the Do-A-Dot paints or with markers or crayons. The pages are nice and thick, so it works well with paints. The pages are perforated and tear out nicely. Some of the pictures incorporate dots that are the same size as the Do-A-Dot paints, but it's really not very specific to those paints and can be considered to be a general coloring book made with thicker-than-usual paper.
There are about 15 pages with pictures of single dinosaurs drawn clearly with thick black lines and the name of the dinosaur printed at the bottom of the picture. These pictures are larger and simpler than the illustration on the cover of the book, so it's very well-suited to toddlers and pre-schoolers who aren't ready for more detailed coloring books yet. There are a few empty landscape pictures at the end and several pages of smaller dinosaurs that you can cut out and use to decorate the landscapes. My son is young, so we just stick with the big dinosaurs for now. I think the pages would xerox really well because of the quality of the paper and the style of the drawings, so you could easily get much more use out of the book.
My 2 1/2-year-old son loves dinosaurs and really enjoys his Do-A-Dot paints, so this is a great activity for us. We also have the truck one, which he loves, too.
