 Fun toy with some flawsNov 25, 2008

This was a birthday gift for my four year old and he and his five year old brother really enjoy playing with it. The garage is very detailed and realistic looking. Each of the smaller items are a lot of fun as well-there is so much detail to them. There is even a basketball to throw into the hoop. I have the same problem with every Playmobil toy, however, and that is durability. If it falls or is dropped, several pieces come apart. I spend more time putting it back together than they do playing with it. I'm also disappointed that the garage has no floor to it. This makes no sense and I am wondering if that piece was missing with my particular item. So you can't store all the tiny pieces inside the garage. I'm considering constructing a floor for the garage using some cardboard.

As I am putting this together, using the instruction sheet and the front of the box I am stumped: there is no floor included in this toy but is shown on box photo. No floor piece on the parts list instruction sheet. There are places on the bottom that could hold the yellow pegs that would insert into a piece of flooring. All these cute & very numerous accessories can not be stored inside of this garage! This is the first negative playmobil toy we ever purchased. Plus the walls do not stay up very well, easily collapse when garage door is opened or when putting items back on shelves. We will not be giving this to our son, it will be too frustrating with very little fun. Can not reach anyone to inquire if floor can be added & why is it pictured but not included? Strongly caution against purchasing.

I have a grandson (4yrs) that is nuts about cars and garages. This was a hit at Christmas. Anything that is like "Dad's" is a winner, and this was it. Lots of little pieces that Mom is trying to keep in a bag so they don't get lost or vacuumed up.
