Great ToyNov 29, 2005
By J. Rosser I LOVE THIS TOY!!!! This toy is supposed to be a Christmas gift for my four-year old niece. The problem is my four-year old son and I like it so much, we want to keep it. The house is not difficult to put together and you cannot beat Playmobil quality. This toy has made me a Playmobil Fan.

a little girls dream houseMay 29, 2007
By A Smith This is a fantastic doll house. My kids just love playing with it. There are so many ways to decorate and rearrange this house. They especially have fun decorating it for the different holidays. They love it so much we got the third floor extension and the add on stairs. It is well made and easy to put together. It only took me about an hour and half to put it together but to be fair we have many Playmobil toys so I am well schooled. This is a doll house that any girl would love.

good, but the fisher price one is better!Aug 23, 2008
By Mother Brown I got this for my daugher from ebay (came with some extras, like the add-on conservatory). I think it is nice looking, and we definitely play with it quite a lot. BUT I think that even if you play with Playmobil people every day, as we do, the Fisher Price Loving Family dollshouse is superior as a home for them. (we also have that, bought in a thrift shop). Several advantages: first, no assembly, whereas the playmobil one, as others have noted, takes a long time to put together, and won't stay together except with a lot of gorilla glue. In fact I dont' mind that. But second, the sizing of the house is actually a little small, and it's very difficult, for instance, to make people actually get up the stairs. You have to pretend they went up the stairs, but actually airlift them; not so good. The fisher price house is on a slightly larger scale, though looks fine with Playmobil people and furniture; this makes it much easier to set up, and therefore less frustrating for a young child. If I were getting just one, as home for Playmobil people, I'd get the Fisher Price. Which also folds up and is lighter, so better for storage and travel. (This one weighs a ton)
Magical playJan 31, 2009
By Aimee My daughters spend hours playing with their Grande Mansion. I am pleased with the high quality of this product and the fact that it is NOT produced in China! True to all playmobil, this house has beautiful details and an heirloom presence.

I love it, but it will not stay together!Jun 02, 2007

I am very disappointed because normally Playmobil quality cannot be beat! The attic especially is very tricky to assemble, and the construction is very fragile. The attic falls apart on a regular basis. It is also very easy to shift the house from the base. I even tried adding some drops of glue to hold it together, but it didn't last either. I am going to try to use a couple drops of Super Glue in various point to see if it will stay together then. My kids love it, but they are extremely frustrated when it comes apart, and it has been nothing but a headache for me and my husband who are having to reassemble it constantly, which is not quick or easy.
