My Son's Favorite Brio CarJan 13, 2007
By My 3 Sons My son has his fair share of Brio & Thomas trains... and this is his favorite (which makes sense given his love of fire engines). The little fireman is great, as is the wagon with the hose and ladder.
I agree with the other reviews... the lights are nice, the siren is just loud enough, and it flashes / rings for just the right period of time (maybe 4-5 seconds?)
Some Brio cars are plastic and some are wood... this one is plastic, but it's high quality & very durable.

Best Fire Truck AroundSep 25, 2002
By vamommy My 18 month old toddler picked this fire truck out himself. He loves the siren, and so do I. It's very muted, but loud enough for him to enjoy. The pieces are very durable. There is so much to do with it - from the posable figure, to the movable ladder, to the fire hose that unwinds, and, of course, the siren. My son loves this so much we take it on car trips with us because it keeps him entertained for so long at a time.

Hail Brio!Nov 15, 2002
By Katszeye My 2 1/2 year old son looooooves this toy. As other reviews mention, the siren is not obnoxious and lasts just long enough. My son carries his train around with him all day and shows it to everyone he meets. Brio products are far superior to other train sets and are a whole lot of fun.

great addition to your train table for a toddlerJul 10, 2002
By KNSudha If your toddler loves lights and noise, this is a great item to add to the Brio Fire Station. The fire truck included with that station does not come with the trailer with ladder and hose. My 2 yr old son loves to play with the fireman climbing the ladder, using the hose etc... Its noisy but not unbearable, and after about 6 months of play, i've not changed batteries or anything. And he likes having 2 firemen for the station too.

Fun!Dec 16, 2009

"mama of boys"
Gave this to my two year old for his b-day and he wouldn't put it down. He actually lost it after the 2nd day of getting it and I am looking for a replacement-but won't pay the 99.99 they are selling it for. I bought it for 7.52 plus s/h only 1 month ago. I have googled it and everyone is out of stock. From what I understand, Brio is making changes and won't be supplying companies until next year.
