Perfect for little hands and car travel. Only
downside is that the logs can be removed and the
rig is not glued on.

This truck is very cute and goes along w/ all the Plan City toys. The wheels roll very smoothly. I love that the logs can come off and be put back on. (However, putting the logs under the straps may require some adult help). The one thing that would be helpful, is if the peg attaching the cab to the flatbed was a little longer. I think it would stay together a bit easier.
My 3 year old really likes playing with this and says he wants 2 logging trucks now!

My 3 yr old son really likes this toy. We received it in a timely manner. Our only complaint is that the logs come off of the truck and are too hard for him to put back in...this may not be a problem as he gets older.

Compliments the other Plan Toys City Series very well!Jan 30, 2012

This little logging truck from Plan Toys comes in three (3) parts ; the cab, flatbed and the logs. A little peg attached to the cab goes into a little hole on the flat bed. I also would have liked if the peg was longer, (as another reviewer stated), since it would have made it much more difficult for it to separate while playing. I love that the truck is not one whole piece, since it allows your child to mix and match the cabs and flatbeds with other trucks in the Plan City series, such as the Plan Toys City Series Cargo Truck and the Plan Toys City Series Tanker Truck.
I also love that the logs can be removed from the flat bed allowing your child more creative play, as they can insert the Plan Toy City Series cars under the straps turning the flat bed into a transporter!
Overall this truck compliments the Plan Toys City Series very well especially the PlanToys Plan City Road System (Deluxe). It is really cute and really small - PERFECT for little hands.

The logging truck is a fun addition to train/road/Plan City components. It's true that the logs come off but we think this is a plus-- lots of fun to take off and on. My 2.5 can do most of it himself and then needs a little help. It would be pretty boring if they just stayed there. Plus, and I didn't realize this before I purchased, once the logs come off other things can come on. The little Plan City people will fit on the truck as well as some of our smaller animals. It becomes a good people mover. The removable trailer prompts a lot of discussion about hitches and whatnot.
