 Good toy for young kids, but not toddlersNov 09, 2009

Lots of fun and good PlayMobil quality. I would have given this product four or five stars for durability, but it has too many small pieces, and when it arrived, the button to make the rotor blades turn did not work (and my son is all about the rotor blades). So, Dad had to take it apart and fix it. It turned out to be one misshapen piece in the ratchet mechanism (looks like it warped coming out of the mold) that wouldn't slide freely against an adjoining piece. It was easily fixed, I think, IF you're mechanically inclined; otherwise I would have just exchanged it (which Amazon is always great about). Once fixed, it has been hours of enjoyment. Like many PlayMobil products, the small pieces get scattered around easily. There is also a hoist "cable" that is long enough to choke a small child (different product standards in Europe, remember). Keep this in mind if you are buying this for a child with younger siblings. Some assembly is required, which consists of snapping pieces together; instructions are pictorial and easy to follow.

I've only recently started buying my children Playmobil! Why did I wait so long. Excellent toys! Brings out the creativity in the minds of the little people.
