My Nephew gets great enjoyment out of his racing set. It is a great addition to his set that he currently has. It`s hard to find cars that aren`t over priced and the track helps to replace the pieces that have broken over time. I highly reccommend this if you already have a set. Need cars or additional pieces or as a starter set for a younger boy.
My nephew is 9 years old. Have fun playing with this toy it lets you remember when you were a child again.

My wife bought our Grandson a race set for Xmas. It was wireless remote control and slotless. I did not like it. Since I am his primary competition, I wanted to play something that I liked. I thought back to my childhood days and recalled my Aurora HO racing set. That led me to the Life-Like set. It is all that I expected. My Grandson loves it, and that's good enough for me.

I am very disappointed in this product. I purchased it for my nephew's birthday and we set it up and he played with for less than an hour before the cars stopped moving around the track. I followed the trouble shooting and it still did not work again properly. One car now moves slowly around the track while the other one just makes a loud revving noise but stays still. I feel robbed and my nephew was very disappointed. Don't know if I just got a defective model :(

I bought this product for my 4-year-old at the suggestion of my husband and now I know why. My husband loves it as much as my son. The two of them played it all Christmas morning. It takes a bit of getting used to in order to keep the cars on the tracks, but my son had it figured out in about 20 minutes. The cars are cool looking and for the price, it's a great starter kit. There is a website where you can buy additional pieces and cars (also sold on Amazon), so there's an opportunity to build on as needed, but it's fun just as it is. Great gift for a little guy - especially one with a dad who likes to play as much as he does!
