I bought this chair to add to the set we already had. The matching table and now two chairs has been great for my 17 month old. Although it is recommended for 3 years and up, with supervision it has worked for us. We have it in our kitchen so she has a place of her own. Sometimes she tries to stand on it and because the chairs legs flairs out, it prevents it from tipping over. A great buy because it is sturdy, a trusty company that is genuinely concern about the safety of children as well as the environment. It makes you feel good about buying the product!
