4a fun setMar 13, 2009
By medmom
I got this for my 23-month-old twins along with some other Playmobil 123 sets, and they play with them every day.

From a parent's perspective, the three figures are the best part of this set. My kids carry them around everywhere, and they offer lots of opportunities for imaginative play. The three figures have eaten all kinds of "food," ridden toy horses with Play-Doh "saddles" holding them on... oh, and also slid down the slide & rocked on the dino!

I think my twins might say they liked the flower best, surprisingly. They love snapping the top of the flower on & off the stem, and then snapping the stem onto the "grass" base. They also snap the bench on & off the grass base.

The first thing they learned when they got the set was how to make the figures bend at the waist to sit on the bench. It took some coaching to help them understand how to let go of the figures at the top of the slide so they'll slide down. Once they understood, they had fun with that for a while. They can't snap the figures onto the dino rocker by themselves yet, but that will come. Once the figures are on the rocker, they like to spin the dino around and make it rock. They also like to "feed" the dino.

I definitely recommend this for anyone with kids who are a little too young for regular Playmobil. I'm glad we have a couple of other Playmobil 123 sets, though, for more opportunities for interaction & imaginative play.

5Quality product, that is cute and fun!Dec 31, 2010

I am from Germany so I grew up with the Playmobil products and I knew I would want them for my kids as well.
I bought this set for my daughter (21months) for Christmas, because she is starting to play with little figures and pretend that they are walking around and such.
This is a very cute set that we combined with one of her toy houses, so she has a lot of fun with it.
Granted it is a small set and I think next time we will get her one of those big Playmobil 123 sets, but this is a good starter for sure.

I especially like Playmobil products, because they are NOT MADE IN CHINA, when your child holds this stuff, you can just tell it's not cheap crap.
I don't know why people buy Fisher Price's Little People, GO FOR THIS STUFF INSTEAD. Little People is not only overpriced, in my opinion it's poorly made, the figures are not special at all.
The Playmobil people are much neater, you can actually make them sit down, move their arms and turn their heads.
My daughter likes that a lot!

5A Nice Little 123 Set with Lots of 'People'Feb 05, 2010

This is a really sweet, inexpensive little set (we paid a few dollars less than what is being asked here). If you're trying to add more people to your collection, it's perfect for that as there's a woman, a boy and a girl. Seems a lot of sets are lacking in the actual people which are my two year old daughter's favorite part anyway.

And then, of course, there are some extras; a patch of green grassy area with a red bench that fits a number of different ways on the square pegs, a purple flower with detachable face that also clicks onto the grass, a yellow dinosaur which can be ridden like a see-saw (yes, the little people do stay on!), and a red slide with steps the people can 'walk up' and then - wheee! - slide down.

All the components are really cute, and have play value all their own, really. My kids are really pleased with the dinosaur in particular.

The only drawback of this set is some of the redundancy with the meadow set; the bench, grass, and flower. But it's no big thing, when you have two kids and the desire to set up an entire empire of Playmobil people you can never have enough stuff, even if some of the items are repeats.

All, told, a fantastic little set. And it is, thankfully, made in Malta.

my boys (6 & 3) like the playmobile 123 and "big boy" series. The pieces work together well. This little set has been a nice addition to our other pieces.
