 The '70s Weebles are back!Aug 01, 2010

We were excited to see the new Weebles that feature the same styles we had as children. So we bought this for our 14 month old and even though she is younger than the recommended age of 18 months, she enjoys moving the Weebles in and out of the tree over and over again and carrying them around the house. She also found the button that activates the sounds and danced to the different songs. The elevator/slide work well, the Weebles can slide down, activate the sounds, and go right up the elevator if you keep cranking it. Our daughter hasn't figured out how to turn the crank correctly, but that will just leave more fun for later. There is a blue "deck" that lets the Weebles slide front to back and she puts them on it, but it doesn't really do much. The Weebles are much larger than the '70s ones so she won't be able to get them in her mouth. The songs and sounds are fun and not annoying.
She loves the playsets with basic activities so I'm sure she'll have a lot of fun with this one, too. I hope they make more sets so we can add to her collection.

I was so excited to learn that Playskool was bringing back the classic weebles. And I have not been disappointed. The treehouse is great - and very similar to the one I had when I was a little girl. My daughter is really enjoying it (and I think I like it just as much as she does)! One major difference in the new weebles - they are much larger, almost the size of a large egg. I think this is a big improvement since they do not pose a choking hazard to my 14-month-old daughter. We LOVE this toy.

this is a fantastic toy. my son got it for christmas, it was a little old for him at that time. but in the last few months, he has really started loving this toy. it is definitely for 18+ months. it's excellent. so much fun. you crank the handle, the weebles go up the conveyer belt and "wheeeeeee" slide down the slide. the ticking crank is a touch annoying.....but it wouldn't be a toddler toy without a little annoying factor, right? he has lots of fun cranking, and sometimes just pusing the button that makes the bottom-of-the-slide fun noises :) there are several places for the weebles to hide, which is also fun. all in all, a good throw-back toy. lots of fun.

This is no different from the other treehouse except for the fact that it comes with 2 more figures. You can play as well with 2 as with 4, so I would recommend buying whichever is cheaper. The toy itself is wonderful and sparks lots of imaginative play. My kids love to crank the Weebles up the staircase and watch as they go down the slide. I like that they go right back on the stairs after going down so I don't have to reset it for my youngest. This toy is cute, fun, and durable.
