This is one very special UGLYVERSE EDITION UGLYDOLL. These limited edition versions of your favorite UGLYS are produced for one year. After that, they're all gone. But no worries, next year's UGLYVERSE EDITION isn't far behind.
This year, it's UGLYVERSE EDITION OX! Take him with you...or he may take you with him!
What kind of name is OX? No, not like the animal OX, as in HUG and KISS! How can he hug you with such short arms? OX uses his ears! He's not a very good listener, but he puts his ears to good use in many other ways! OX is great at magic, and his best trick is turning your stuff into his stuff.
His best buddy Wedgehead calls that stealing, but OX just wants to borrow things from you for a few hundred years. He promises to put everything back when he's done. What he wants to steal most are kisses, whether they're in the chocolate variety or just plain, and he promises to be your friend if you would lend him a hand, or an ear...or like Two Dollars!

From the creative minds of love struck artists David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim emerge the Uglydolls! What started as a drawing of a playful orange character known as Wage has turned into a whole new world of fun! In 2001, when David's soon to be wife and creative partner Sun-Min had to return to Korea, he sent her many letters with his little Wage character drawn at the bottom.
Sun-Min sewed Wage into a plush doll and sent him to David as a gift. David asked Sun-Min to sew a couple more for the Giant Robot store in LA and they sold out in one day! A very excited Sun-Min sewed many more and those sold just as fast! Sun-Min and David then began to pull more characters from the Uglyverse, a universe where UGLY meant unique and special, to translate into plush Uglydolls. They both met again at their very first Uglydoll Toy Fair booth in New York, where they would go on to win Toy Of The Year 4 years later!

I received OX as a Christmas gift and have since fallen in love with this series of stuffed companions. The material is very soft and not at all ugly, despite the makers' statement that these dolls are made from the "ugliest materials" they could find. In addition to being soft, OX is adorable, especially his dossier. He truly has taken over all of my possessions. But he is good at sharing so I am not complaining. And he does give many hugs with his ears, since his arms are a bit too short. Earhugs are definitely fun.
OX comes with a small card describing him in detail. For those who decide they like Uglydolls, I recommend a visit to the official website for a peek at their T-shirts and the 7 inch dolls. The smaller versions are different colors than the larger ones.

"Game Solstice"
We gave this to our son only a week ago, but he loves the thing, takes it everywhere, and so far so good. The attached tag that it arrives with gives a little description of what OX is all about, and it makes our son crack up every time he reads it. I gave three stars for educational value because our son now reads his "Ugly Guide To The Uglyverse" book to find out more about OX. The fabric is real soft and snuggly, even a bit ugly colored to stay true to theme.

i love ox. he is so cute. he is my first ugly doll i got. the other 2 are plunko and babo's bird. over all i love him!!!

I saw these in a comic book store near my work and I just had to get one for myself. They're weird, but so cute. My ugly doll has a new home in my dorm room. I always get compliments on him :)
