I love the Playmobil royalty; they're such a great alternative to the mass-marketed Disney alternatives, and they're more attractive and open-ended for role-play too!
The king is a simple figurine with removable crown, scepter and cape. He is not able to sit down when wearing his cape, because it is also made of rigid ABS plastic. He is also fatter in the torso than most of the Playmobil people, which seems fitting for a king.
These little add-ons are great and worth every penny. They're great for prizes, as another reviewer mentioned (we used them briefly to transition our daughter from using her potty seat adapter to get her ready for the 'big potty' at preschool), and kids can earn a meager allowance and afford these figures pretty quickly (our daughter gets $1.50 per week, so there's not a lot else that she can afford), adding cool items to their existing collection.
Also, we check country of origin, and the king is not made in China.

We purchased a ton of these Playmobil extra Toys and small sets and put them in a "Prize Bag" for my daughter to "go on the potty"! She didn't have any interest in potty training at age 3, until we had these toys for her to choose from. It worked!! Not only did she potty train very quickly, but she had a whole city of playmobil to build and use her imagination! At age 5, she had not outgrown any of the playmobil. Great purchase, and I think it will last for many years to come! The larger sets take a LOT of assembly, but the smaller ones are easy setup.

My daughter has some Magical Kingdom toys by Playmobil and I got this to go with it. Playmobil is very durable and has such a variety to please all children. This seller shipped within a week and came as advertised: new and in box.

We're big fans of Playmobil, and the Royal King does not disappoint. He is durable and the perfect size for my daughter to play imaginative play.
