My boys are delighted with this. The balls do get lost sometimes, but they turn up more quickly than I was expecting. They're lightweight enough that even when the kids hit themselves in the face (which is exactly what my two year old did with it as soon as he saw it [fwip! "Ow!" fwip! "Ow!"] and until he figured out the idea of a trajectory) it doesn't hurt much. I suppose they're probably learning a lot about ballistics but generally they just enjoy it. I would recommend one per kid, though; within a day of getting ours we realized we needed another one!
