 The Sweet Little Bear That No One LovesJul 12, 2009

I bought this as a gift, and accidently ordered two. Fine, I thought, I'll just give the extra to my kids. This bear is indeed sweet. He's well-crafted, and a little bigger than I expected (listed dimensions just don't give the full picture, you know?), which is always a plus. His weight is pleasant, as is his smooth unfinished surface. He seems like he could take some rough play and come through unscathed. I love him.
My kids? Not so much. My youngest (18 months) likes to take him out of the box, and then put him back in about five times over. My oldest likes to throw him once or twice in a blue moon.
I was excited because he's safe to chew on, but no one seems to be biting (pardon the pun). The kids just don't like him. Maybe other kids are different. We've had other simple toys that have really been a hit. Poor teddy.... Well I love him even if the target age group doesn't.

"Comparison Shopper"
This is the cutest Teddy I've ever owned! It may be a great toy but I purchased it as a collecible to stand on the shelf with pictures of my grandkids. They beg to play with it all the time but it's for "Looks only" in my house. I love it! It seems durable so kids probably wouldn't hurt it. I would highly recommend.

The expression on this little guy's face doesn't show up well in the photo. In person, it looks very wise. I can see a great deal of comfort from this little guy for those he's with. Very well made, too. I just got mine yesterday, and I like him a lot.
Update: Okay, now it's April of 2011, and the great wooden teddy bear still sits on my desk, right where he belongs! I really wanted him to smile. So I thought it over, drew it out the way I wanted it on his face, and then extended his lips into a smile with a permanent marker.
Now he sits on top of my computer tower, at about my eye level. Whenever I look at him, he makes me smile. I love him!

This teddy bear is adorable. I love his face and the fact that he is made of wood. My son loves to chew on him in his car seat or stroller.

this bear was an instant hit with my one-year-old. and he's far more durable than i expected. his arms and legs move, but never stick. he can sit or stand or whatever is required by your child's imagination. he's small, so easy to toss into the diaper bag. and he's even cuter than the picture. definitely would recommend. more than worth the price.
