Math Shark

Math Shark is a excellent tool for children to learn math even beyond the basic Addition and Subtraction, included are also multiplication, division, percentages and fractions. There are different learning levels so your child can build confidence while learning. Learning mathematics basics are essential early on to insure better achievements and grades throughout school and life.
The product is easy to operate and comes with an instruction booklet to refer to. The Math Shark is very well made and doesn't have parts that come off. Battery compartment is screwed on so children can't get the batteries out. This item does not come with batteries, you need 2 AA batteries.
You select what you want to work on such as Addition, then select the learning level, then select the number you want to work on 1-10.
I believe preschool children through grade school will benefit from the Math Shark. I think some older children who struggle with math skills could use it to. There is also a "Help" button.
The Math Shark is large enough for children to easily hold or lay on a their lap.
The contrasting colors of the Math Shark should be attractive to children

Fantastic Math Tool

I gave this MathShark to my 9 year old. She is learning the multiplication tables and next comes division. She is doing ok in math but her teacher wants her to complete her multiplication tables faster than she is doing.

After 2 weeks of playing with the MathShark she has increased her speed tremendously. Better than we expected and we are amazed at how easy it was.

The MathShark has many ways to use it but the one way that has helped her the most is there is a section where they time you on your answers. It encouraged her to beat her old score without any prodding.

The MathShark also show you when you give a correct answer and if you don't it will show you the correct answer and put the problem somewhere back into the sequence so you can try again.

We are thrilled with the results that she has had after just a few weeks of playing with the MathShark. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has children or grandchildren in school, even as young as 1st grade.

Great for learning & fun

I wasn't sure if my 6 yr old grandson would like this or not, he gets easily bored and frustrated. He needed something to help him with his math skills in kindergarten so I gave it a try.
He was very happy with his new 'numbers game'! He played it for a long time and was upset when it was time for bed. It makes it really easy for the kids to do it on their own without getting mad.
There are 7 math skills x 8 levels x 10+ sets x 10 games each. This is going to last him a really long time. And it is easy enough that my 4 yr old granddaughter jumped right in because Mom used paper tokens to help explain each problem.
Best of all is a very nice guide that fully explains what is on each skill level so you can see what your child is doing. There is even a chart so you can keep track of their progress. I'm going to get one for my 5 yr old nephew! It would work for older children also with the more advanced skills like division.
I only wish it had a charger or adapter.
