Fisher-Price S'more Fun Campfire

We set up a tent in the living room, roast marshmallows, make s'mores, while away hours telling scary stories, looking for friendly possums, and fishing in a nearby pond. At the end of the day we curl up in a sleeping bag next to our cozy campfire. Sometimes a bear comes along and tickles a camper, but usually it is just a nice time!

My kids had a ton of fun playing campfire and roasting marshmallows to make s'mores. They split logs, and made a fire, and when they were done, turned over the mat to the picnic side to have a picnic! They love that they can slide the marshmallows off and onto their s'mores, just like in real life.

My only issue was that the photo looked a bit more high quality than the product fabric felt, but my kids didn't care about that. I also didn't like that it came with bear paws so that someone can pretend to be a bear and...scare people away from camping/picnics? I removed them from the set before giving to my kids, but introduced them separately and they enjoy playing with those as well - they're super soft!

Overall, my kids loved playing with this set. I do think that I would prefer if it included something other than the bear paws though - that seemed a little too much for my kids' ages and I don't want them to be worried about bears when we go camping or go on a picnic! Maybe something else to roast over the fire (hot dog?), or a little wooden canteen, or something on the picnic side like a small basket or a couple of little plates would be great! I received this product to review for free through Mattel's play rate and review program and I must say my kids and myself absolutely love this s'more set! It keeps my kids entertained for hours at a time. They love the soft feel of everything and how the fire makes a crinkle noise. The bear paws they think are so cute and fun to put on and act like a bear "getting the s'more"! Being able to "chop the wood" they also think is so fun! The picnic table is nice to have on the back of the firepit my girls love to set their s'mores down on the little plates and the details on it are amazing. They think the ants are "so cute getting the strawberries". The marshmallows have little roast Mark's on them which are nice and realistic! The packaging for this set is so great to have very easy to put away or carry along to places you go. My girls have also now used their babies to play with this set also! Very great for the imagination! I definitely would/will be recommending this and bringing this toy set with me places! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
