Fisher-Price Wooden Balance Tree Stacking Activity Toy, for Toddler Development Play, 10 Pieces

Holds the little ones attention far longer than I thought possible and indeed more than most of their other toys. Discovered that each child balances and plays with the pieces in their own unique way... Brother likes to stack the wooden pieces on top of each other and if he does use the tree, he stacks more than one piece on each branch, while sister focuses more on selecting her favorite pieces and then putting one special piece on each tree branch. I prefer wooden toys over plastic toys, and this wooden tree is finished beautifully. Very smooth with absolutely no rough edges
whatsoever. (Definitely not a throwaway toy...Made to last for years and years).
Can be dropped, stepped on, etc. without any concern about damaging the pieces.
Helps with hand coordination and steadiness. Only thing that could make it better? Just needs a wooden kangaroo...our family's favorite animal. I love that the

I love the variety of each piece and all of the little details of the animals. You can arrange them in numerous variations throughout the tree and gives your little one new ways to express their creativity and to use their problem solving skills. This is an absolute must to add to your childs list of toys. Our family loves it and highly recommend.

Pros:
1: upon opening the balance tree from its packaging, we were very pleased to find twine-like ties securing the toy in place inside the box! What a pleasant change from plastic and wire! Made it easier to open also.
2: No batteries needed
3: simple beauty! The coloring, the wood, the shapes all work together to make a very eye pleasing toy.
4. We had fun quizzing and naming the animals and other shapes.
5: great fun learning which animals and shapes will or won't balance and stack on the tree in different positions
6: Can trace around the tree and animals to make cute pictures
7: Sized just right for little hands

Cons:
1: doesn't keep preschool aged kids occupied as long as I thought it would
2: wish it came with a little wood box or simple fabric bag to store pieces together

All in all, we feel The Fisher Price Wooden Balance tree is a lovely wood toy that we enjoyed playing with.
