Loved and beat daily for a year

Bought this for my son, because he was all about light n sound toys. But so many toys aren't very loud at all. However, this drum set was a beast! Not only was it loud, but it lasted for a year on the one set of batteries! And that is saying a lot, because he played with those drums every single day for long periods of time each day. And my boy's idea of playing is to beat on things--hard! So to recap, this toy drum set lasted 1 year without ever needing batteries changed. It got played with for hours every single day. It was beat on almost constantly during play. And it had just now began to malfunction. My son is now 14 months old and 2 of the 3 drums still work. But 1 gets stuck making a weird static noise. I'd say we got our money's worth. I'm seriously considering getting him another one.
